This is a five-part Lesson wherein Student(s) will explore the Biblical themes of unity and reconciliation through two key passages: Ezekiel 37:15–28 (the joining of the two sticks) and Ephesians 2:11–22 (the creation of one new man in Christ / Yahshua HaMashiach). Students will examine how God / Yahweh restores what is divided—first in Israel’s history and then in the global family of faith. Through discussion, short exercises, questions to answer and personal reflection, learners will discover how these passages reveal Yahweh’s heart for unity, covenant renewal and the formation of a Spirit‑filled people who live as one / echad.
Division—whether historical, cultural or relational—is a recurring human reality. Scripture presents Yahweh as One, or in Hebrew, Echad, Who heals division and forms a unified people for His dwelling. Ezekiel’s prophetic sign‑act of the “two sticks” and Paul’s teaching about the “one new man” offer a powerful Biblical‑theological arc: YAH restores, reconciles and re‑creates. This Lesson helps Students to: Understand unity as a divine initiative, not a human achievement; Recognize the continuity between Old Testament restoration and New Testament reconciliation; Reflect on their own role in embodying unity within families, communities and the Body of Yahshua; and engage Scripture with both theological depth and practical application. These principles act as guidelines for the selection and utilization of specific teaching systems and an emphasis on practical application within a particular educational context.
