This is a four-part Lesson wherein Student(s) will learn how to express one's self in speech and obtain the skill set to defend a position in debate format. These skills have untold benefits both now and throughout life as various issues and circumstances arise. Each student will take away many skills from this Lesson: the ability to create and deliver a short speech on any subject; the skill set to research a subject, capture the data required, and deliver a persuasive argument; the knowledge of how to prepare for a debate from each side, and how to win at the debate game. Verbal interaction and conversation will be an important role in this course to expose the student to real-life situations, whether in middle school, high school, college or the working world.
