This is a six-part Lesson wherein Student(s) will learn how to create a basic monthly budget and a move‑out/startup budget, compare post‑secondary pathways (college, trade school, apprenticeship, immediate work, ministry, church group), identify common job scams and labor traps, practice interview and workplace readiness, and reflect on how faith and values shape vocational choices. The lesson mixes short instruction, hands‑on activities, small‑group discussion, and a personal reflection essay. Lessons from Scripture will help shape one’s work ethic.
 
Adolescents face economic uncertainty, rising costs and a complex labor market. Equipping them with practical money management, decision frameworks for education and work, and spiritual/mental resilience reduces risk (debt, scams, poor job matches) and increases agency. This Lesson emphasizes impartiality in offering some low‑cost pathways, local supports and strategies for Students with who might face limited family resources. One major reason for this Lesson is to help Students understand what it takes to enter the world of adulthood with eyes wide open and learn from other’s adventures in entering the job market. Students will learn to recognize one’s purpose in God’s eyes through research in situation specific areas and information about the many options available. Each Student will develop an Action Plan, identifying a path forward.
