In this Lesson, Student(s) will be exposed to Learn How the United States Federal Government and Independent State Government are Different. This three-part social studies history Lesson will teach Students the origin of Federal and State government structures from 1700 to today and the amazing journey of the American struggle for independence. Students will learn in Part 1 how the States formed 1700 – 1900, the 13 Colonies, the Revolutionary War, the Origin of the first 48 States and the different laws for each state. In Part 2 we will cover the Federal Government’s responsibility 1700 – 1900, how the U.S. form of government originated, the first Federal Republic government in history, the changes over 200 years, the First Amendment and The U.S. Constitution: “We The People.” Finally in Part 3 Students will learn the current form of Federal and State under The United States of America, what happened in 1933?, why were the 1960s so influential on government?, Article IV of the Constitution, today’s state of the union and what will next year look like?
