This is a six-part Lesson Student(s) will learn all about the twelve different physiological systems that keep humans alive and functioning while awake or asleep, giving them more information about their body and how to care for it. The 12 systems in the human body consist of: the Cardiovascular System, Excretory System, Reproductive System, Nervous System, Immune System, Digestive System, Muscular System, Circulatory System, Endocrine System (or hormones), Skeletal System, Respiratory System, and Integumentary System (or skin). Each system will be covered in some detail with side notes on conditions that affect youth in each category, e.g. bone growth, brain development, skins issues like acne, and much more. There are six parts to this Lesson with two systems in each part. Homework will be simple but highly interesting as Students will investigate ways to be aware of each bodily system and how we can keep it functioning at optimal levels.
