Students explore in this seven-part Lesson, the modern Interfaith Movement, its major players (the Vatican, United Nations, Israel, Abrahamic nations) and how different Christian traditions interpret interfaith cooperation. Each Student will travel around the world examining historical developments, witnessing global diplomacy and positioning them in the framework of Biblical themes related to unity, peace and end‑time expectations between different religions. This Lesson blends a current look at history, theology, civics and critical thinking to help Students understand how religion and global politics intersect today.
 
This Lesson introduces Students to the 21st‑century interfaith movement—its history, goals, benefits and tensions—and equips learners to design respectful, practical interfaith action and interaction in local contexts, like your home town or city. Students move from theory to practice: dialogue skills, case‑study analysis and a community service project. Core content covers the origins and trends of the interfaith movement in order to understand the worldview behind it; models of interfaith governance; case studies; practical skills for respectful engagement; and local project planning as an exercise in community.
 
Why is now an appropriate time to discuss the interfaith movement? Because it is a growing decentralized global response to religious diversity and civic challenges. Its teaching builds a new kind of civic literacy and conflict‑management skills, breaking down objective truth and creating a ‘one religion fits all’ agenda.
