Discover The Holy Bible as a very, very old text, much of it was written in various different points in history. In fact, it is not one simple text, but an anthology of different texts from different time periods, all with different authors, a huge anthology of various texts, spanning thousands of years. Learn about the Gospels that were left out of the Bible called noncanonical gospels. Read about scholars that know about the past existence of some missing gospels because they are mentioned in other ancient writings that have survived; books once cherished—now removed or banned. Learn why. This Lesson is designed to help understand how every religion determines its canon, usually early in its formation, reasons often a combination of theological, practical, and political. Each Student will learn how various Christian denominations differ from each other and why certain Bibles have different books.
