This is a two-part Lesson introducing students to Biblical Epistemology and Theories of Truth, exploring how knowledge of God / Yahweh and Scripture is understood, justified, and applied. Students will examine major epistemological approaches within religion (evidentialism, reformed epistemology, experientialism, fideism), and compare them with broader theories of truth (correspondence, coherence and pragmatic). This Lesson emphasizes the objectivity of Biblical Truth as grounded in the immutable nature of Yahweh and supported by Scripture, history and reason. This Lesson is designed to help Students understand what it takes to recognize Truth. This Lesson presents the argument that Truth is central to faith, human purpose, and destiny. Understanding epistemology equips Students to critically evaluate claims about knowledge, belief and justification in religious contexts. By studying Biblical Truth as objective, students learn how Scripture provides a universal, unchanging foundation for moral and doctrinal reasoning. This Lesson helps resolve tensions between hope and despair by grounding faith in reliable knowledge of God / Yahweh. Students gain tools to engage thoughtfully with pluralism, naturalism and contemporary challenges to faith.
